PrivacyRedactor ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and the sensitive
information within your documents. This Privacy Policy explains our 100% offline approach to data
handling when you use our mobile application ("App").
🔒 100% Local AI Privacy: All document processing, AI-powered PII (Personally
Identifiable Information) scanning, and physical redaction happen exclusively on your device. We do
NOT upload your documents or identified data to our servers. All processing is 100% offline.
1. Information We Collect
PrivacyRedactor is designed to minimize data collection. We only handle the following:
1.1 Document Data (Client-Side Only)
- What we process: The PDFs and images you import into the App for redaction.
- How it's handled: Document thumbnails and high-resolution scanning artifacts are
stored temporarily in the App's private sandbox.
- Data Retention: This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to other
apps. You can permanently wipe this local cache at any time within the App's settings.
1.2 Device Identifiers & Purchase Data
- Device ID: We use a non-persistent, vendor-specific identifier
(identifierForVendor) solely to authenticate secure local processing and manage your subscription
state.
- Purchase History: We process transaction receipts through Apple/Google servers to
validate Pro or Ultra membership. Your financial details are never seen or stored by us.
1.3 App Permissions
To enable document processing, the App may request the following permissions:
- Photo Library: Used solely to allow you to select images for redaction and to save the
final redacted results back to your gallery.
- Files & Documents: Used to import PDF documents or images stored on your device or
iCloud Drive.
You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device's System
Settings. Disabling these permissions will limit the App's ability to import or export
documents but will not affect local data already stored in the App's sandbox.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- ❌ We do NOT upload your documents to any cloud server for processing.
- ❌ We do NOT read, store, or transmit the sensitive PII identified during scanning (e.g., ID numbers,
bank cards).
- ❌ We do NOT use third-party analytics that track your document content.
- ❌ We do NOT sell or share your document history or redaction patterns.
3. How We Use Information
Local processing is used solely to:
- Scan for sensitive text patterns (Regex + On-device OCR).
- Apply physical-level pixel coverage (Ink Burn-in) to redacted areas.
- Scrub metadata (EXIF/Location) from exported files.
4. Data Storage and Security
Security is our core mission. All processing is isolated within the App's secure container. Because your
data is never transmitted, it is safe from network interceptions and server-side breaches.
5. Children's Privacy
PrivacyRedactor is a professional utility tool and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone,
including children.
6. Your Rights
You have absolute control over your data. All original documents and redacted results belong to you.
Deleting the App or using the "Clean Local Data" feature in Settings immediately and permanently
destroys all local records.
