Refine AI Docs ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy and the sensitive information within your documents. This Privacy Policy explains how document content is handled locally, and how limited network requests are used for subscription validation, purchase restoration, and trial period verification when you use our application ("App").

1. Information We Collect

Refine AI Docs is designed to minimize data collection. We only handle the following:

1.1 Document Data (Client-Side Only)

• What we process: The PDFs, Markdown files, or text content you import into the App for editing and refinement.
• How it's handled: Document metadata and processed artifacts are stored temporarily in the App's private sandbox.
• Data Retention: This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to other apps. You can permanently wipe this local cache at any time within the App's settings using the "Clear All Local Files" feature.

1.2 Device Identifiers & Purchase Data

• Device ID: We may use a vendor-specific device identifier or app-generated machine identifier solely to validate subscriptions, restore purchases, prevent abuse, and manage trial eligibility. This identifier is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
• Purchase Data: We process Apple StoreKit product identifiers, transaction identifiers, and Apple-signed transaction data to validate Pro membership and restore purchases. Your payment card details and Apple ID credentials are handled by Apple and are never seen or stored by us.
• Network Time: We may request trusted server time to calculate the 14-day trial period and reduce device-clock abuse. These requests do not include document content.

1.3 Limited Network Requests

The App may contact our server and trusted time sources for non-document functions, including:

• Loading the current subscription product list and localized membership information.
• Verifying purchases and restoring subscription status across your Apple devices.
• Checking trusted network time for trial-period validation.

These requests may include technical information such as app version, platform, device identifier, product identifier, transaction identifier, and Apple-signed transaction data. They do not include your imported files, document text, OCR results, page images, annotations, templates, or exported documents.

1.4 App Permissions

To enable professional document processing, the App may request the following permissions:

• Files & Documents: Used to allow you to select and import PDF documents, Markdown files, or images stored on your device or iCloud Drive.
• Printing: Used to allow you to output your refined documents directly to system printers.
• App-Scope Bookmarks: Used to maintain persistent access to the files and folders you have authorized, ensuring a seamless experience across app launches.

You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device's System Settings. Disabling these permissions will limit the App's ability to import or export documents but will not affect local data already stored in the App's sandbox.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• ❌ We do NOT upload your documents to any cloud server for processing.
• ❌ We do NOT read, store, or transmit the content or editing history of your documents.
• ❌ We do NOT use third-party analytics that track your sensitive document data.
• ❌ We do NOT sell or share your document records, document content, or usage preferences.
• ❌ We do NOT use your device identifier for advertising or cross-app tracking.

3. How We Use Information

Local processing is used to:

• Perform AI-driven text refinement and polishing.
• Execute local OCR and layout conversion.
• Apply "Smart Content Fitting" and dynamic typesetting.
• Generate and export final refined document files.

Limited purchase and device information is used only to validate subscriptions, restore purchases, provide membership access across supported Apple devices, protect against subscription abuse, and verify trial eligibility.

4. Data Storage and Security

Security is our core mission. Document processing is isolated within the App's secure container, and your document content is not transmitted to our servers. Subscription validation data is transmitted over HTTPS and is used only for membership, restoration, anti-abuse, and trial verification purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

Refine AI Docs is a professional productivity utility and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

6. Your Rights

You have absolute control over your data. All original documents and refined results belong to you. Deleting the App or using the "Clear All Local Files" feature in Settings immediately and permanently destroys all local records.
